Warranty Information

Managed services, remote monitoring and management (RMM), proactive maintenance, patch management, monitoring, and alerting services are designed to reduce risk and improve system reliability; however, they do not guarantee hardware performance or prevent hardware failure. Hardware components monitored or managed under an MSP or RMM agreement are not warranted against failure, downtime, or data loss.

Labor, diagnostics, on-site service, remote support, data recovery, configuration, shipping, expedited replacement, and downtime associated with warranty claims are not included unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement. Warranty replacement or repair timelines are subject to manufacturer processes and availability.

Clients are responsible for maintaining proof of purchase and complying with all manufacturer warranty requirements. Our company does not provide any additional warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, beyond those offered by the manufacturer.

All hardware, computer parts, and equipment supplied by our company are covered solely by the original manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty terms, coverage periods, and conditions vary by manufacturer and product and are governed exclusively by the manufacturer’s published policies.

This warranty applies only to defects in materials or workmanship under normal operating conditions. It does not cover damage or failure resulting from misuse, abuse, accidents, improper installation, environmental conditions, power fluctuations, liquid damage, unauthorized repairs or modifications, or normal wear and tear.

All on-site work is backed by our 30-day Guarantee. If the same problem reoccurs within 30 days of the original repair, we will come back and fix it at no charge to you!

The warranty on any system or parts purchased separately shall be void under the following circumstances:

  1. Unauthorized System Access
    The customer opens or disassembles any PC purchased from Computer Specialist without prior approval from an authorized Computer Specialist Customer Service representative.

  2. Third-Party Intervention
    Any outside individual or company opens, services, modifies, or repairs a PC purchased from Computer Specialist without prior approval from an authorized Computer Specialist Customer Service representative.

  3. Unauthorized Peripheral Installation
    The customer installs or connects any internal or external peripheral, component, or hardware to a PC purchased from Computer Specialist without prior approval from an authorized Customer Service representative.

  4. Physical Damage
    The PC or any peripheral purchased from Computer Specialist sustains physical damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidents, including but not limited to dropping, impact damage, or liquid exposure.

  5. Software-Related Damage
    The customer installs software, operating system modifications, drivers, firmware, or applications that result in system malfunction, instability, failure to boot, loss of functionality, or application crashes.

  6. Inadequate Electrical Protection
    The PC or connected equipment is operated without appropriate electrical protection, including but not limited to the use of a quality surge suppressor or UPS for both the computer system and any connected networking or internet modem equipment.
